After a bit of a hiatus, Donald Glover returned to the stage this weekend at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw music festival on Saturday. During his performance, he revealed that he suffered a stroke last year that caused him to cancel his New World Tour.
“You guys voted for a ‘where have I been monologue,’” the rapper said on stage, according to clips shared on social media . “I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’” He also revealed he had broken his foot and that doctors had “found a hole” in his heart, leading to two surgeries.
