HOPE – Did you know that wooden ladders were once made in Hope and shipped around the country? Over Hope’s 150 years of existence there have been many factories that have been in the community and supplied jobs to its residents. One was Southwest Wood Products. Come hear John King, local resident, as he shows photographs and stories about this factory in Hope.

The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday evening November 25th at the Tailgaters Burger Company Annex Room in Hope, Arkansas at 7 pm. The room is located at 101 South Main Street. Everyone is welcome.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
