Former Chicago radio host Joe "JoBo" Colborn, who was best known as half of the iconic duo "Eddie & JoBo," has died, B96 said Monday.
Details on Colborn's death weren't immediately available.
"JoBo" and "Eddie," his partner Eddie Volkman, initially teamed up at B96 in 1988 and saw immense success for several years before their firings in 1994. Colborn and Volkman were fired for "gross misconduct" following a defamation lawsuit by former NBC 5 news anchor Joan Esposito after Colborn falsely said she was pregnant by a Chicago Bulls' player. A settlement was later reached.
Following a quick stint in Philadelphia, the radio veterans returned to B96 in 1996 and remained on the airwaves until November 2008, when they were let go from the radio station.
