SHREVEPORT, La. -- Shoppers are filling grocery stores this week as they hunt for ingredients for traditional — and not-so-traditional — holiday feasts. And while a classic Thanksgiving spread may cost slightly less this year compared to last, many shoppers say it certainly doesn’t feel that way.
According to Wells Fargo’s annual Thanksgiving Food Report , the ingredients needed to feed a group of 10 will cost about $80 this year, using store-branded, generic items. Choosing all name-brand ingredients raises that estimate to around $95. Those lower totals reflect price dips in a few key categories, including turkey, soft rolls, and frozen vegetables.
