Stranger Things season five is coming to Netflix soon and it marks the final instalment in the saga, with a spin-off yet to come.

Split into three parts, the first four episodes will drop on November 26, followed by a Christmas Day release for the next three episodes and the grand finale on New Year's Eve.

The festive release schedule has led fans to wonder whether the final season will be centred around Christmas, and The Duffer Brothers spoke to Radio Times about their vision.

When asked why they have not made a festive special yet, Matt Duffer said: "Like the Star Wars Holiday Special, something like that?" referencing the poorly-received 1978 spin-off.
