On Tuesday, the Washington Wizards (1-15, 0-2) host the Atlanta Hawks (11-7, 1-1) at Capital One Arena in the NBA Cup, and if you’re wondering how to catch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Wizards dropped their 14th straight game on Saturday, falling 121-120 to the Chicago Bulls on the road. The game featured nine lead changes, including five in the fourth quarter, as Tre Jones hit the go-ahead free throw with 34.2 seconds left.
Corey Kispert led the Wizards with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists, Cam Whitemore scored 20 points and Kyshawn George added 17 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and four steals. George is the youngest player in the league to record such a stat line in a game this season.
The Hawks knocked off the Charlotte Hornets 113-110 on Sunday for their seventh win in 10 games. The group allowed no fastbreak points for just the eighth time in franchise history and held a 23-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
Jalen Johnson produced a team-high 28 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 23 points and Dyson Daniels added 22 points. Johnson is one of two players with at least 350 points, 150 rebounds and 100 assists this season (Nikola Jokić).
The Hawks and Wizards are meeting for the first of four matchups this season as Southeast Division rivals. The two teams split the season series last year, 2-2, though Atlanta has taken 19 out of the previous 30 matchups overall.
