Rachel Reeves is expected to confirm she will scrap the two child benefit cap when she sets out what is widely being viewed as a “make or break” Budget for the Labour leadership, The i Paper understands.
The move to ditch the two child limit on benefit payments is believed to come at a cost of around £3.5bn a year, and comes after months of pressure from Labour MPs .
