Tre’von Moehrig‘s low blow on Jauan Jennings during the Carolina Panthers-San Francisco 49ers ‘Monday Night Football’ clash will cost the veteran safety one game.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL has suspended Tre’Von Moehrig one game for punching Jauan Jennings in the groin area during the fourth quarter. During the postgame handshakes, Jennings retaliated by punching Moehrig in the head.

Schefter added that Moehrig plans to appeal his one-game suspension. The Panthers host the NFC-leading Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.
