BRUCEVILLE-EDDY, Texas (KWTX) - An 8-year-old dog named Lincoln is now recovering after being found lying in the grass along I-35 in Bruceville-Eddy earlier this month.
Just after 11 a.m. on Nov. 8 a driver spotted the dog and called the Bruceville-Eddy Police Department, Chief Michael Dorsey responding to the call.
“They saw a dog that was laying in the grass median between the interstate meeting the frontage road, and so were basically concerned for the dogs welfare,” Dorsey recalled.
Dorsey’s body camera footage shows him approaching the dog, trying to get him to move away from the highway before ultimately going to him and putting on a leash.
“He didn’t want to move and so at that point I understood he had some cuts and things wrong with his legs,” Dorsey said.
