The future of a popular marine lake bringing thousands of people to a Merseyside town could be in jeopardy. According to a council, it said no action could put those using the West Kirby Marine lake at more risk, but the work needed would cost millions.
A report set to be presented to councillors on Wirral Council’s environment committee on December 2 gives an update on the potential costs related to the town’s marine lake. The report said unless action is taken to tackle the problems , the future of the lake “is in doubt".
