OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. —
Deputies are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery turned shooting in Oconee County, South Carolina.
Early Monday morning, deputies with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office received a report of gunshots near Townville.
According to the report, a man later identified as 22-year-old Noah Brooks Brown attempted to rob the victims inside a vehicle occupied by a man and two women. During the attempted robbery, Brown shot inside the vehicle, striking the man in the knee.
Brown fled the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities said Brown has been known to frequent the Utica Mill Hill area near Seneca. Deputies said he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
