AUSTIN, Texas — As Thanksgiving approaches, some Austin High School students found a creative way to give back by donating artwork to a nonprofit organization that helps the unhoused community.

Recently, Austin's Community First! Village marked 10 years of developing its neighborhood and announced it's creating more tiny homes to give people a place to stay.

Hyde Park High student Vedanth Kashap said he's volunteered at the village for two years, and last summer, he noticed there was a lack of color inside residents' homes, so he decided to create a project called "Art for All" with Westwood High Student and friend Maya Rajan.

With the help of Rajan and fellow Hyde Park student Charlotte Cone, they were able to reach out to donors and local artists to contribute.
