A former marine who has just conquered Everest is now running the equivalent of 16 back-to-back marathons over 16 days to raise awareness of illegal dog breeding.
Starting from the UK’s lowest point in his hometown of Ramsay in Kent on December 3, Mitch Hutchcraft, 32, hopes to reach the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland - the UK’s highest point, 1,345 metres up, 16 days later.
On each day, he will cover ground equivalent to a 26.2 mile marathon - and hopes to raise appreciation for how amazing rescue dogs are and how much they need a home - with a petition for change of breeding laws which they hope will gain 100,000 signatures.
