A mum who pulled her son out of school after rumours spread that a fellow pupil had a knife has revealed how she received a panicked text from him saying 'I'm scared.' Another mum says she will be keeping her child off school until her concerns over the incident at Saddleworth School have been fully allayed. Rumours began circulating online suggesting a boy was 'running about with a knife' at the high school in the village of Diggle in Oldham , which has around 1,400 pupils. The police were alerted and attended the school on Monday (November 24). However they concluded there was 'no threat to the school or wider community.'
