MADISON, Wis. — Air travelers are facing what the Federal Aviation Administration expects will be the busiest Thanksgiving for flights in 15 years, and Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA), is experiencing the surge firsthand with significant increases in both passengers and flight options.
The DCRA has seen substantial growth compared to last year's holiday travel period. Airport officials report a 10% increase in passengers, accompanied by a 15% jump in flights and an 11% increase in available seats.
"If we're just using last year as a comparison, we're up over 10% on passengers alone. We have 15% increase in flights, and those flights are delivering an 11% increase in seats," an airport representative said. "So what that means for passengers is there's more flights to choose from. More
