MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho has parted ways with offensive coordinator Matt Linehan after he was demoted from playcalling duties late in the season by head coach Thomas Ford Jr.
The Vandals averaged 24.5 points per game this season, but did not eclipse the 20 point threshold in the final three games of the season, which all ended in losses.
Overall, the Vandals were held under 21 points in six games and Idaho's conversion rate on third down was under 40 percent.
Ford made the decision to remove Linehan from the booth and move him to the sideline following the loss to UC Davis, due to a low conversion down rate and poor red zone execution.
Wide receivers coach Tyler Paopao took over offensive play calling duties in the booth.
