(AP) - Georgia Tech suffered a huge drop in the newest College Football Playoff rankings after Saturday’s loss to No. 22 Pitt.

The Yellow Jackets dropped from No. 16 to No. 23 after losing to Pitt 42-28. The team is now fourth in the ACC and needs some help to make the conference championship game.

Pitt’s return to the rankings after falling out for a week impacts the meaning of its key Atlantic Coast Conference game against the Hurricanes, who need a win and some help to make the conference title game but still have hopes of making the playoff bracket as an at-large.
