WARREN A Warren man has been handed down consecutive maximum sentences related to incidents of burglary and breaking and entering.

Harold Michaels, 51, of Warren pleaded guilty to two third-degree felony charges of burglary and three fifth-degree felony charges of breaking and entering on July 18.

Michaels' sentence totals nine years in prison.

Judge Sarah Kovoor stated that Michaels' past criminal record led to the judge giving him the maximum sentences for a series of shed break-ins in Champion Township and home burglaries in Howland Township in 2023.

Some victims who testified in court said they felt "violated."

Michaels is ordered to pay $10,172 in restitution to the victims.

Judge Kovoor noted that Michaels had nine prior felony convictions and seven prior prison sentences.
