PORT ARTHUR, Texas — The City Council of the City of Port Arthur will conduct an emergency special meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, to deliberate and take action on matters relating to emergency ambulance services, citing an urgent public necessity.

During the meeting, council members will consider P.R. No. 24672, a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a second amendment to the non-exclusive ambulance agreement with Viking Enterprise Inc., the company that owns City Ambulance Service. The amendment would extend ambulance services from December 1, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. through December 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
