SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office deputies have been actively working to crack down on illegal marijuana operations through recent traffic stops. Deputies near Grenada stopped a Penske rental box truck for a lighting violation on Sunday, leading to a large discovery.

Officials stated that the truck contained 62 trash bags of illegal marijuana products, weighing more than 1,429 pounds. 43-year-old Thibault Charvy of Willits told officers that the marijuana came from the Shasta Vista area. Charvy was arrested for transporting and possessing marijuana for sale and was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail .
