Brockville council on Tuesday narrowly rejected a local group’s request to fly the Palestinian flag behind City Hall, with the motion falling to a tie vote.
At its regular meeting, council also directed staff to look into revisions to the city’s flag policy, with some councillors wary of wading into international conflicts. That move led the proponents of the Palestinian flag motion to raise the possibility of bias.
