YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Western Michigan football team is off to the MAC Championship game for the first time since 2016. The Broncos clinched a spot in the title game after a, 31-21 win over Eastern Michigan on Tuesday night.
Western finishes the regular season, 8-4 (7-1). The program's seven conference wins are the second most in program history. This is just the program's fourth ever appearance in the title game.
The Eagles took a 7-0 lead and the Broncos responded with 31 unanswered points. Broc Lowry had two touchdowns in the win. The Broncos finished conference play with four straight victories.
The Broncos opponent is still to be determined. Headed into Tuesday four teams in the MAC standings were tied with a 5-2 record.
The MAC title is set for noon on Saturday, December 6th at
