Oregon was once again dominated in the paint and it led to a historic shooting display by San Diego State.
SDSU shot 67.2% from the field, the highest by an opponent in the Dana Altman era, in a 97-80 thrashing of UO in the Players Era Festival Tuesday night at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
It is the 11th highest field goal percentage in a Division I game this season and highest allowed by a Power Five conference team. The only Power Five team to allow a higher field goal percentage in a game last season was Penn State (67.3% against USC).
Reese Dixon-Waters scored 22 points to lead four players in double-figures for San Diego State, which dominated the paint (36-22) and glass (34-26).
A 12-0 run midway through the first half gave SDSU (3-2) the lead for good.
