Question: I saw flower bulbs for sale in the store at reduced clearance prices. Is it too late to plant fall bulbs for bloom next spring?

Answer: You still have time to plant flower bulbs, although it is a bit more difficult now. They will still have time to grow and develop so they will bloom normally next spring. Although we are having frost most mornings now that freezes the top fraction of an inch of soil, it warms up enough to thaw by mid-afternoon. Even if still a bit frozen, it is not difficult to chip through the frozen surface with a shovel.
