Grass stains littering his South Point football jersey, senior standout Patrick Blee meandered back onto the playing surface at Crest High's Sid Bryson Stadium on Oct. 3 in pursuit of a pair of his most frequent adversaries.
The moment was quite the twist of fate for Crest safeties Lyrik Pettis and D’Various Surratt, both spending a portion of their high school football careers game-planning for the Red Raiders’ prolific quarterback. Not knowing if it was their final time sharing the field, the highly-touted football standouts shared a photo, exchanged pleasantries and went their separate ways.
Apparently the football gods believe Crest and South Point still have a few scores to settle.
