Shoppers can support those who support the community on Saturday, Nov. 29, Small Business Saturday .
The annual shopping event is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving and encourages supporting local businesses so that money stays in the community.
It’s an opportunity to patronize shops, restaurants and services in your hometown. Several stores will be open and many will offer specials and sales.
According to a survey conducted by LendingTree, more than 2,000 Americans say that 54% of consumers intend to shop on Small Business Saturday, rising to 69% among Millennials and 64% among Gen-Z consumers.
More than 60% of holiday shoppers say they actively seek out small businesses during the holidays, and 76% plan to buy at least some of their gifts from them.
