ASTON — The Aston Township Lions Club supported well over 30 community organizations, nonprofits and individuals in the community with over $29,000 raised through fundraisers for their local charities.

“We raise the funds mostly with our monthly bingo events, which the community is wonderful in supporting,” said Bob Shufelt, the club secretary. “But we also have other fundraiser endeavors, like our recent pancake breakfast.”

In their 2024-25 club year, the $29,000 supported the American Red Cross, the Delaware Valley Eye Bank, a Children’s Christmas Party, a summer camp for blind adults, City Team Ministries, Canine Partners for Life, Special Olympics, Wounded Warriors, The Salvation Army, the food bank at St. Joseph Parish in Aston, Guide Dog Foundation, Aston Public Library, Pensylvani
