The County of Renfrew held a full day of meetings at Queen’s Park on Nov. 20 as part of “County of Renfrew Day,” an annual advocacy effort aimed at highlighting rural priorities and strengthening relationships with provincial decision-makers.
County representatives, guided by the advocacy framework published on the municipality’s website, met with more than 16 Ontario ministers or parliamentary assistants. Their discussions focused on issues including infrastructure, healthcare access, housing, economic development and the importance of ensuring rural perspectives are reflected in provincial policies.
