Plans to build more barracks in Catterick have been given the green light.
The development, by Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Ltd on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, will see the construction of accommodation blocks, facilities, and infrastructure at Marne Barracks.
These new buildings will include two 85-bed accommodation blocks, multi-use games areas, a strength and conditioning centre, garages and workshops, and various car parking and foot and cycle paths.
Catterick's expansion is in preparation for the relocation of the 21 Engineer Regiment from Ripon.
Approval for the project was officially granted on 24 November by North Yorkshire Council.
