Shopping has always felt like a lesson in compromise. As someone who wears anywhere from a size 24 to 28 (we’ll save the inconsistency of women’s sizing for another time), I’ve been relegated to shopping online for most of my life. My journey to finding a personal style has been a difficult one — from wearing whatever I could find that simply fit, to learning what actually feels like me. And even in my 20s, fashionable plus-size options are still missing in stores. But while I continue to advocate for plus-sizes on the racks, I still need clothes to wear.
