KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri casinos are making final preparations before sports betting becomes legal Monday, following voter approval of the measure last year.

All 13 casinos across Missouri will feature sportsbooks when betting goes live Dec. 1.

“We’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” said Keith W. Henson, senior vice president and general manager at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City.

Ameristar is converting space into a Fanatics Sportsbook , complete with two betting windows, 12 self-service kiosks, 10 TV monitors and one giant LED video wall. The area will include lounge chairs throughout the space.

“It is an amenity. So, when we look at a sportsbook, we expect for that to complement the overall gaming experience. And so, people have a lot of fun with it,” Hen
