Fans of exceptional war films are being encouraged to watch one of Prime Video's offerings - an independent war drama adapted from Väinö Linna's novel. The Second World War film follows a machine gun company of the Finnish Army during their campaign.
Set during the Continuation War between Finland and the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944, the production cost €7 million (£6.1million). It became the most expensive Finnish film ever made at the time of its release.
The film is The Unknown Soldier, known in Finnish as Tuntematon sotilas, reports the Express . Eero Aho plays Antero Rokka, a former farmer who served as a veteran corporal during the Winter War.
