Despite a lawsuit filed by Colorado against the Trump administration’s decision to relocate Space Command headquarters to Huntsville, the move is charging ahead.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and U.S. Space Command Commander Gen. Stephen Whiting met at the Pentagon last week to discuss next steps, according to a press release.
In the meeting, Whiting touched on the current relocation efforts for personnel and mission capabilities, emphasizing that they would be undertaken “expeditiously” and “responsibly” following President Donald Trump’s September Oval Office announcement that the headquarters would move from Colorado Springs to Huntsville.
