Thanksgiving is this Thursday, ushering in the beginning of the Christmas season for many.
For some, only a fresh-cut Christmas tree will do. Families make a yearly pilgrimage to a local tree farm to either cut their own tree or purchase a pre-cut one.
Here’s a guide to Christmas tree farms throughout Central New York. Several have already opened for the season and most of the rest will open later this week.
Many will be open right up until Christmas Eve, but are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
