TRENTON, MI — Police shot and killed a man suspected of a shooting in Inkster early Wednesday morning.

Officers from the Trenton Police Department responded to 3374 Van Horn Road around 2:45 a.m. Nov. 26 after the vehicle of the man, suspected in an earlier shooting, was spotted there, said Mike Hawkins, chief of the city’s police department.

During their response, police shot the suspect, Hawkins said. He did not give additional details.

The man had fled after a shooting that happened in Inkster, Hawkins said. It was not immediately clear if that shooting was fatal. Inkster police did not immediately return a request for more information.
