BANGOR TOWNSHIP, MI – Garrett Hilborn can be taken out of the linebacker position.
But the linebacker can’t be taken out of Garrett Hilborn.
A pair of injuries denied the first-team All-State linebacker from returning to the position he seemed born and raised to play this season. But the John Glenn junior found other avenues to make an impact.
And this dude can make an impact.
“He makes plays that energize our entire team,” Glenn coach Jon Horton said. “It’s scary what he can do.”
A devastating ball carrier at running back and a dominant force in his first try at cornerback, Hilborn emerged as the Golden Helmet Player of the Year as the top Class A high school football player in the MLive/Bay City Times area for the 2025 season.
