The Detroit Lions had trouble with the Green Bay Packers the first time around this season and the hopes of the Packers missing a key offensive player are getting slim.
Star running back Josh Jacobs was limited in practice to start the short week before the Lions and Packers meet on Thanksgiving, but it’s expected he will be available for Green Bay.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday morning Jacobs is “supposed to be back this week” for the Packers after missing last week’s game due to a thigh contusion and a bone bruise in his knee.
In Jacobs’ place, backup running back Emanuel Wilson had a career day with 107 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.
Jacobs hasn’t registered a 100-yard game yet this season, but remains an important piece of what the Packers do on offense.
