UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves didn’t rule out further tax increases in this parliament, after she delivered a £26 billion tax-hiking package to stabilize Britain’s public finances. “No chancellor can write future budgets,” Reeves said in an interview with Bloomberg's Lizzy Burden, when asked if she would rule out further direct or stealth tax increases in the coming years. Reeves also said she could not comment on market reaction to the budget.
