The iconic ‘80s reality TV show “Star Search” is coming back, this time finding its home on the streaming platform Netflix.
The show, which ran from 1983 to 1995, was a competition series that saw entertainers compete against each other in different categories, such as singing, comedy and dance.
The original run of the show helped launch the career of stars such as Adam Sandler, Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake.
The new version of the show will return live on Netflix, with an adjusted format and real-time viewer voting, according to a press release from Netflix.
