The Toronto Maple Leafs are getting three key forwards back from injury.
Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies and Nic Roy will be in the lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets (7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).
Matthews has been sidelined since Nov. 11 after suffering a lower-body injury against the Boston Bruins.
The 28-year-old, who has 14 points in 17 games this season, was limited to 33 goals in 67 games in 2024-25 as he dealt with a persistent upper-body injury.
“It’s exciting, this is a great opportunity for us here on the road to really come together here as a group, find our rhythm,” Matthews said. “It’s been a tough couple of weeks… but feel like I’m ready to go tonight.”
