There are hour-long delays after a reported multi-vehicle crash on the M5 near Exeter this evening (Wednesday, November 26).
One lane is currently closed on the southbound carriageway between junction 30 and 31, with queues back to junction 29 at Exeter Airport.
National Highways has said vehicle recovery is underway following the crash.
It said: "1 lane (of 4) closed on the #M5 south near #Exeter between J30 and J31 following a collision. Recovery is now underway.
"60 minute delays on approach, congestion back to J29 for @Exeter_Airport".
Drivers on the southbound carriageway of the motorway were being held between junction 30 and 31 around 4.40pm.
