Crisp fall weather will be the backdrop for Houston's 76 th annual Thanksgiving Day parade , which is open to the public and free to attend.

Sunny skies and cool temperatures are in the forecast for Thursday, according to the National Weather Service . When the downtown parade starts at 9 a.m., temperatures in Houston are expected to be in the low- to mid-50s.
