Just as TSA warned passengers over the busiest Thanksgiving in history , hundreds of airline catering workers at Flying Food Group held a protest near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Tuesday evening, shutting down a main entrance.

They blocked main arteries leading to the airport, outside the Los Angeles airport's pickup and drop-off areas, amid the Thanksgiving travel rush, slowing passenger traffic in and out of the airport and causing passengers to risk missing their flights. The LAPD soon arrived, accosted the protestors, and moved them back onto the sidewalks.

The demonstrators accused Flying Food Group of unsafe working conditions, and the workers' union claimed five agencies had cited the company over several years for safety and minimum-wage violations. There were no
