LEWISVILLE, Texas — A mother died, and four members of her family were hospitalized after a fire tore through their home in the early morning hours on Holford’s Prairie Road, leaving neighbors shaken and a community grieving the night before Thanksgiving.
Lewisville Fire Chief Mark McNeal said crews were dispatched to the home around 2:38 a.m. after calls reporting a structure fire at the Eagle Ridge Mobile Home Park. When firefighters arrived, the manufactured single-wide home was fully engulfed. One person had escaped and told crews there were four more people still inside. Firefighters split to three sides of the home and entered through the windows because flames blocked the doors.
McNeal said three of the four people pulled from the home were in cardiac arrest when removed. CPR was
