WASHINGTON, D.C.–Two National Guard members were shot in Washington, DC on Wednesday. That’s according to the Department of Homeland Security.
It happened just blocks from the White House. DC Police said the suspect is in custody.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump, who is in Florida, has been briefed. Earlier this month a federal judge ruled the deployment of the Guard to DC was unlawful.
