HUDSONVILLE, MI – The sun had yet to peak over the horizon and classes weren’t in session due to Thanksgiving break, but the cafeteria at Unity Christian High School was buzzing.

With the final game of the football season 48 hours away, the Crusaders shared one last breakfast together, and while the players could’ve picked a time that would’ve afforded a little more shut-eye, they wanted to stick to their 6:30 a.m. routine.

After all, sleep isn’t easy to come by when the state championship game is so close.

Unity Christian (12-1) takes on Dearborn Divine Child (12-1) in Friday’s 12:30 p.m. Division 4 football state final at Ford Field in Detroit, and judging by the turnout at the Wednesday morning breakfast, the Crusaders couldn’t be more excited.
