It’s not April Fools. This is actually happening. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that three-time All-Pro center Frank Ragnow, who retired back in June, is coming out of retirement for the Detroit Lions. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport added that “he’s in shape and ready to roll sooner, rather than later.”
Notably, the Lions’ current center, Graham Glasgow, has been a non-participant in walkthroughs this week (Detroit has yet to announce its Wednesday participation). So will Ragnow play on Thanksgiving? Your guess is as good as mine, but there is an opening at the center position, and Ragnow already knows the system in Detroit.
