PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency said a national cybersecurity incident targeted the OnSolve CodeRED emergency notification platform.
RIEMA said that the incident did not result in the loss of the ability to alert the public because the agency uses additional alert and warning systems.
“The only information stored in the CodeRED alert system is potentially the name, address, email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords of users who signed up to receive these alerts,” RIEMA said. “Because of this, at no time was personal information related to healthcare or financial information at risk.”
