HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Volunteers in Charleston are getting ready for the annual Frank Veltri Thanksgiving dinner.
The dinner has provided warm meals for families over the holiday since 1966.
Veltri was a hotel owner and landlord in Charleston, with a legacy of giving back to his community.
When Veltri died in 2001, he left behind a fund to keep this Thanksgiving tradition going.
The dinner feeds thousands, with sit down meals at St. George Orthodox Church in Charleston, as well as food delivery.
Any leftover meals are taken to local shelters.
