Billy Davies admits he is disappointed that Kevin Thelwell blanked his attempt to reach out and help him understand all things Rangers after "putting him on the map." ‌

The former Ibrox sporting director was axed by Gers chairman Andrew Cavenagh along with CEO Patrick Stewart amid angry fan protests and calls for the duo to be sacked. ‌

They've now got their wish and the American is already on the hunt for their successors. ‌

But Davies, who gave Thelwell his break in club football as director of Youth at Preston North End, feels slighted that he didn't respond to an offer to sit down and discuss his new role at Rangers when arrived in Glasgow.
